Harbour of Le Hourdel gathers together the "sauterelliers", boats specialized in fishing the shrimps. You can also get the opportunity to see the biggest reproductive colony of harbour seals in France. This mischievous, shy creature pops its snout out of the water at high tide in the marinas and reclines on the sand at low tide. Watch them from a good distance, with a nature guide and some binoculars so as not to sacre them, because when startled they risk abandoning their young. |
