The National Music Festival, Fête de la Musique, was first held on 21 June 1982, a pagan night harking back to the ancient tradition of the Summer Solstice.
It is a national and popular event that brings together amateur and professional musicians, providing dozens of free street concerts of all kinds of music: rock, jazz, traditional music and song, world music, choral groups, rap, techno, carnival musical etc.
