Head for the long sandy beaches of Marquenterre, north of the Picardy coast, between Baie de Somme and Baie d’Authie. Quend-Plage and Fort-Mahon are the best spots to try your hand at sand yachting in the Somme! This is the adventure for you!
- Duration: approx. 3 hours.
- 45 minutes initiation (maneuvers, trajectory…)
- 2-hour hike along the long beaches

An easy, accessible sport
From 7 to 77 years old, sand yachting is accessible to all, and gives you an immense feeling of freedom.
Watch the wind rush through the sail, listen to the shells crunch under the wheels, feel the breeze on your face… Get your fill ofoxygen andsea air!
The best time? Just after the tide goes out… The sea has just receded, the beach is a vast, immaculate wasteland, and only the float traces its lines on the damp sand.
You can go sand yachting on your own with your own equipment at Le Crotoy and Ault, where the beaches are also suitable at low tide.
Sand yachting is accessible to all ages, it’s easier than cycling and the sensations come right away!
Suitable for families and beginners
Le Biplace
A good compromise for your first session! The Aéris club offers the possibility of testing the activity in tandem, making it accessible to all.
With two on the same float, it’s possible for two adults or one adult and one child (compulsory up to age 12) to take part. A fun and reassuring moment to try out with your family, partner or friends, giggles are guaranteed!
