Illuminations and decorations
the icing on the cake
Attend the monumental Chroma show between November 29 and December 29, 2024, from 7:00 pm to 7:50 pm. To do so, simply go to the forecourt of Amiens’ Notre Dame Cathedral.
“The Chroma show places color at the heart of an immersive experience in a contemporary setting. From blue, evoking the Waidiers merchants who helped finance the monument, to a new animated rendering of the polychromes, the high point of this journey through time, the cathedral, by turns luminous and mysterious, continues to fascinate”.
A tour guide is on hand every evening during the second half of the show to answer any questions you may have about the polychromy of the portals.

Director of the Tourist Office
“Get ready for the festive season with your family at the biggest Christmas market in northern France – it’s absolutely magical. Sharing, wonder and good humor guaranteed! As night falls, don’t miss the “Chroma” show. The ephemeral recoloration of Notre-Dame’s western facade brings back to life the colors of the Middle Ages. An exceptional result, an emotion to share with the people of Amiens… and this show is free!”
