Forest immersion
Silence is good for you!
If there’s one place where you can relax and recharge your batteries, it’s the forest. Visit the largest forest in the Somme: Crécy-en-Ponthieu, not far from the sea.
Soak up the scents of humus, moss and fern, and take a deep breath! Here, beech and oak reign supreme.
We feel the energy and positive vibes of nature flowing from the roots of the trees to the roots of our hair. We get drunk on the rustle of leaves in the trees and branches creaking beneath our feet.
All our senses are awake, and the disconnection can begin.
The forest is a precious and fragile environment. The ONF has published a walker ‘s charter to make hikers aware of the good habits to adopt. In it, you’ll find good advice on waste management, fire and bivouac regulations, the right attitude to adopt towards wildlife and responsible harvesting.
Theater of the 100 Years’ War
History page
The Forêt de Crécy is also an emblematic place in history. It was here in 1346 that the French army of Philippe VI de Valois lost to the troops of the King of England. Thus began the 100 Years’ War.
Stop off at the wooden Belvedere tower, featuring the mill from which Edward III observed the surrounding countryside.
To find out all you need to know about the 100 Years’ War and the Battle of Crécy, visit the Crécy la Bataille historical center, which was given a facelift in 2021. Frescoes, models, reproductions of illuminations, reconstructions of weapons and armor, coats of arms and archaeological finds illustrate this historic event.
A word of advice Before entering the forest, stop off at the Tourist Office for a complete, detailed map of the sites and remarkable trees.

We opened the park in 2021 in the heart of the magical and legendary Crécy forest, more precisely in the “cleairière du muguet”. We offer a range of tree-climbing courses of varying difficulty, with the emphasis on family-friendly activities in the heart of nature. We continue to invest to diversify our offer every year.
