CHARMING AND PICTURESQUE

North of the bay, take the panoramic road to Le Crotoy. You can see the emblematic silhouette of the two red and white turrets.

In the 17th century, Le Crotoy was one of the most important fishing ports in the English Channel. Today, fishing activity has declined, mainly due to the silting up of the bay, but the resort retains the charm of a small fishing port, with a few sauterelliers moored to go shrimping.

Fishermen’s cottages mingle with vacation homes. The long sandy beach is the only beach in the north facing south.

Outdoor activities

CROSSING THE BAY, BOAT TRIP

But also horse riding on the beach, stand-up paddle,…

Le Crotoy offers a wide range of possibilities. Just make sure you know the tide times! The tides punctuate the days in the Baie de Somme: at low tide, the beach can be explored ad infinitum, giving way to walks, horseback rides and sandcastle contests!

On the other hand, beware of the high tide, which comes in at the speed of a galloping horse, and climb aboard a boat, kayak or take out your kitesurf !

And when it’s too windy? Come aboard the p’tit train train de la Baie de Somme or head inland by bike !
