5 ATMOSPHERIC GARDENS TO VISIT THROUGH THE SEASONS
The 8-hectare estate boasts 5,000 species and varieties of old roses and rare shrubs. Nestling at the bottom of the valley, the gardens follow the contours of the landscape, with a difference in level of more than 25 metres between the highest and lowest parts.
The interest of these gardens, in addition to their wealth of plant life, lies in their very design. Plants and shrubs are classified according to their decorative characteristics, rather than by family, as in traditional botanical gardens.
All year round, the gardens are the setting for events such as Ladybird Day, Painters’ Day and the Pumpkin Festival. You can also sign up for gardening and garden cooking courses.
The store offers seeds and plants for collectors, perennials, old roses and ladybug larvae, as well as local specialities: dandelion liqueur, salt-meadow lamb pâté, rhubarb juice…
What about eating flowers?
Don’t just visit the gardens, taste them too! At La Table du Jardinier, try creative, modern cuisine based on plants, flowers and fruit. The surprise is in every bite (!).
